Student Responses

Once the agent has request the spelling, the student has several options. These are:

• Ask the agent to repeat the word.
  You can do this by right clicking, and choosing "Repeat the last word", or by pressing Enter when nothing has been typed into the edit box.
• Ask the agent to say the word in a sentence.
  You can do this by right clicking, and choosing "Say it in a sentence", or by typing a ? as the first character in the edit box.

Test Mode

To begin a test, the user should select the "Start the Test!" option after right clicking. In this mode, the program will do the following.

If the word is spelled correctly (including capitalization) the agent congratulates the user, and displays the correct spelling in green.

If the word is spelled incorrectly, the agent informs the user that the word was spelled incorrectly, but neither spells nor displays the correct spelling. The word is displayed in red though.

When all of the words have been completed, the correct spellings are then displayed, and the results of the test are emailed, if an email address has been specified.
