Defining Groups
This section describes the use of groups in the program. Groups are not available in the home version.
When you start the program for the first time, the define groups page is automatically displayed. On subsequent runs of the program, defining groups is accessible via the Users and Groups on the View menu.
The first task is to define all of the groups you will use. By default the program begins with a single top level group, named All Groups. You can create multiple levels of groups, so for instance, you can create a group for Year 1, and then additional groups under Year 1 for the different abilities.
Create a New Group
You can create groups by using the following methods.
- While on the group control, and press Insert button on the keyboard.
- Click on the New Group... button
- Press ALT+N to access the shortcut for the New Group button.
When you do any of these actions, a new group will be created as the last item under the currently selected group. The new group will always be named "New Group", and will instantly let you edit the name, as described in the following section.
Rename an Existing Group
To rename a group, first select the name of the group to rename. Then do one of the following:
- Press the F2 key on the group you want to rename.
- Click once on the group you want to rename and wait.
The name of the group will appear in a box, and you can type the new name. If you change your mind, just press the Esc key on the keyboard. Otherwise, if you press enter, or click outside of the box, the change will be accepted.
Deleting a Group
You can delete a group by selecting the group to delete, and then pressing the DEL key on the keyboard.

You can open or close groups by clicking on the + or - buttons on the group control.
