While setting up our client's websites we've come across some ideas that may be of use to you. We've included them here to prevent you making the same mistakes.

Test your files

When we started, we made some assumptions that what looked good on our machines, looked good everywhere. How wrong could we be? There are subtle differences between Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, as well as other browsers. Make sure you look at the files on all of them to make sure that you've got it right.

You can include HTML in the fields

For instance, in the long description field, feel free to insert any HTML that's consistent with the context it will be used in. For instance, inserting a hyperlink to an artist page is as simple as adding the following:
<a href="artistpage.htm">Artist's Name here</A>

You can have more than one project

You could create a show that is actually all about the artists, with the items actually being artists. Alternatively, you can both have a current exhibition, as well as a catalog of work for each artist.

You can use the fields in whatever way you choose

Althought the fields are labelled with names like Price, there is no requirement that that must be what they are. You can use them for whatever you like and substitute them into a template as you desire. Just remember what you are using a field for within a given project.
