Technical Reference
This section describes the technical details of how Art Gallery Website Creator generates files.
Instead of manually editing files, as a human designer would, the program uses a technique known as macro substitution. So, you do the creative work of writing your text, and taking your photos, and the program does all of the repetitive work of resizing images, and substituting new values onto each page.
Processing Structure
The program performs 3 major functions
- Resizes all of the images created to a consistent size. You can set up the sizes on the Options Window
- Performs macro substitution in set of files once. This is used to generate your index pages, generally.
- Peforms macro substitution in a second set of files for each image. This is used to generate item pages.
The program writes the files into the location you specify on the Options Window
